LWVMD Advocacy & Operating Fund

The League does so much more beyond the important work of educating the public.

We take ACTION to Make Democracy Work!

The LWVMD General Fund provides support to our critical advocacy efforts in Annapolis on issues like redistricting reform, campaign finance, voting rights, environment, and promotion of social and economic justice.

To advance these efforts we utilize dedicated volunteers who carefully follow and research League priority issues, and then draft testimony to support LWVMD's position.

This important work wouldn't be possible without our staff in Annapolis who:

Edit, produce, and deliver testimony to the MD General Assembly, and assist in tracking important deadlines
Help with online advocacy and League promotion, membership, and volunteer coordination
Facilitate WHATEVER ELSE the League undertakes to affect change and further it's positions
